Beloved Community | Part 1

This year’s symposium, split over two different evenings, features the release of our new video series on Macon’s racial past. Each of the five short films digs into a different moment in Macon’s history and asks us to rethink where our community has been and where we are going. In panels and small group discussions, we’ll ask: What in our faith traditions compel us to speak honestly about our past? How does knowing our past equip us to do the work of justice and reconciliation right now?

Open to students, faculty and staff, and all members of the Macon-Bibb community. More details and registration information to come shortly. Film production by And So We Go Productions with generous funding from the Griffith Foundation.
